Description / Therapeutic Use:

•Active ingredient/composition: Cabergoline 0.5 mg per tablet  

•Pharmacologic class: Dopamine agonist (ergot‐derivative)  

•Indications / Uses:

•Treatment of hyperprolactinemia (abnormally high prolactin levels)  

•Suppression of lactation/breast milk production, especially in cases of stillbirth, miscarriage, abortion, or when lactation must be stopped medically  

•Mechanism of action: Cabergoline works by stimulating dopamine D₂ receptors in the pituitary gland, thereby inhibiting the secretion of prolactin.
